Origin: Meander In
--without shoulders, with smooth asphalt, moderate high speed traffic, with challenging hills.
Cool and overcast early, humid all day, sunny, gentle breezes, lovely evening
Other than Marney fighting a cold and Bob's hands getting bitten through his gloves by horse flies, this was a day without highlights or difficulties. It was a day of transitions: From the Avon River valley on the Bay of Fundy to the "South Shore" of Nova Scotia's Atlantic coast, and from the struggling economy in Windsor
to the affluence and newly aggrandized mansions of Chester.
We had a couple of nice picnics en route
-- one beside a graveyard, the other behind a small church.
We cycled by several high-mountain lakes which we assume are reservoirs. We kept hoping for a view of the ocean as we reached each crest of a hill, but this did not to happen until we reached Chester.
We had a nice evening walk around Chester and its harbor after a pub dinner.
