[ Day 3 ] Friday, June 19, Nackawic to Fredericton (66km)

Origin: Big Axe Brewery BB, Destination: Christine McLean (AIR BnB),
Route Description: 102 south (old TransCanada highway with ample shoulders and long rollers) to  Kings Landing and Fredericton--sparse traffic in morning, intensifying near Fredericton (NB capital)

Full rain-gear morning--even rain booties.
All rain gear back in panniers for sunny, warm, blue sky afternoon.

Highlight:  Kings Landing Historical Settlement--living history from the 19th century. Buildings originally built by and for "Loyalists" who fled the successful American Revolution. The buildings were moved to this location up from the flood zone of the 1960s dam. Large, enthusiastic staff (mostly volunteers). In each building the people and scene are from a different decade.
This stop sat roughly half way on today's route. Lunch there in King' Inn: Mrs. Long's Chicken Pot Pie. Arrival in Fredericton along the beautiful Valley Trail. Our lodging sits a few blocks from the center of downtown and tomorrow's Farmers' Market. Dinner and beverage at popular Lunar Rogue.

Our host is absent till Sunday. We have the fine, old house to ourselves.
