Route Description: Causeway to Hampton
The Transcanada to DeSable
The 19 to Argyle Provincial Park, continuing on to Canoe Cove
The 19A to New Dominion
Rejoin the 19 to Cornwall (5 kms of heavy, hurried traffic)
Cornwall road north; east on the 235
Join the Transcanada to cross the river to enter Charlottetown on Capital Road
Weather: Cloudy, cool, occasional sun, brisk head winds
We followed the Argyle Coast with great views of Northumberland Strait and farmlands: potatoes, grain, corn and dairy.
Argyle Provincial Park (day use only) was a pleasant stop near low tide.
Of note was an amazing road side display of fireweed mixed in with cattails just before we stopped for lunch.
